Special Olympics Fall Season Finishes with a Flourish!

This past week, the Beaufort and Bluffton Special Olympic Middle and High School programs celebrated the end of Fall season clinics with “Team Color Day” events at Dataw and Callawassie.
Take a look at the video and pictures of local Special Olympics programs on THIS WEB PAGE!

HHI, Bluffton and Beaufort Special Needs/Olympics programs include 10 schools and two adult programs — 140+ special needs athletes in all! The programs are great for the players and really exciting and energizing for our on-court coaches and off-court volunteers. This is a joint effort between SOAR Special Recreation and PTI. Together, we are grateful to volunteer coaches who are helping us transition these programs from being dependent on the heroic efforts of a few to the more sustainable efforts of many. We are also thankful to Dataw (thanks, Warren!) for hosting our Beaufort area end of season event, and similarly, we are thankful to Callawassie (thanks Bill and Andy!) for hosting the Bluffton end of season event. Many community members assisted. The events were a blast!
