Thank you to our team of volunteer coaches who visits Beaufort County Elementary Schools and provides tennis lessons to children during their PE classes. The goal of the program is to introduce children to tennis at an early age through school PE programs and give PE teachers the tools to build tennis into their curriculum.
As part of the Net Generation Schools program, all of the schools receive a starter set of racquets, a portable net, a ball hopper, and low compression foam balls which work well in a gym – all compliments of the USTA and a PTI grant-funded program! This is a great program for volunteer coaches who enjoy working with children but can only help out for a few hours here and there. To learn more and join our team, please email Elaine Killoran.
