Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering your time, energy, and skills is a great way to support your community. Not only that, but it’s fun, it’s rewarding, and you might even make some new friends in the process! We are always looking for folks who’d like to get involved and join our team.

  • Our instruction and play programs are volunteer-driven. Typically, one teaching pro or experienced lead coach works with a group of volunteers to teach our clinics. Public Tennis has approximately 75 active volunter coaches presently!
  • We offer training using the latest progression-based techniques for teaching youth, adults, and special needs players.
  • We need volunteer and “parenteer” coaches, organizers, and team managers for instructional sessions and to organize informal team play.
  • Teaching tennis as a volunteer is FUN and rewarding!

Off-Court Volunteers

  • We’re raising funds, applying for grants, and bringing USTA resources to local facilities, to players in need, and to build communities around tennis
  • We’re advocating and planning for new and expanded facilities
